The Pollinator Project

  • Encourage Pollinators Into Your Garden
  • Pack Containing Sunflower Seeds, Pollinator Seeds and ID Chart
  • Free To Hucknall Residents
  • Limit Of One Per Household

Following on from the huge success of our previous projects, we now offer you the chance to take part in our Pollinator Project.

This project is not only good for doing in your own garden, but is great for schools and groups to take part in.

We will supply you with a pack of sunflower seeds for you to grow as well as a small pack of seeds from pollinator friendly plants to create your pollinator patch. The sunflowers are easy and fast growing and so are ideal for children. We will also supply you with an identification kit so that you can identify the different pollinators that come to visit.

Not only that, but we will be offering a prize for the tallest sunflower grown.

The seeds and id kit are provided free of charge to households, groups or schools in the Hucknall area with a limit of one per group or household.

All we ask in return is that you report your sightings to us for our survey and that you use your sunflower heads in your birdfeeders or donate them back to our group so we can use them over the winter months.

We would love you to also take part in the Sussex University Big Bee Hotel Experiment.

You can use your own bee hotel or we can supply a bee hotel kit if required. By registering for the bee hotel project on the Buzz Club website, you will be entered into a draw where you could win a £250.00 voucher.
