Following the success of our 2022 and 2023 surveys, we will once again be asking you to help us with our survey during 2024.

Please help us by reporting all sightings, no matter how insignificant you may feel they are to report@hucknallwildlifegroup.org, or by filling in the form below.

Please provide as much information as possible regarding your sightings.

If you saw birds or animals, what were they doing, and how many where there ? If flowers, where they in bud, fully bloomed, approximate area covered etc

With all sightings, please try to be as accurate as possible with a location. Most phones have GPS that you can use, or you can use an app such as What 3 Words. Please do not trespass though. If you can not give an exact location without going onto private property then an approximate location such as ‘approximately 200 metres north of patch.trade.appear‘ will still be helpful.

Don’t worry if you can not identify something. There are apps such as seek and plantnet that can help you identify what you have seen. Alternatively just send us the image and we will try our best to identify what you have seen.

The findings of our survey will be used to log the type of flora and fauna in and around the Hucknall area, as well as analysing the impact on numbers compared to previous years.

Your information submitted will be stored by us for analytical purposes. Information may also be shared with our wildlife partners to better understand the effects that urbanisation of our area is having on nature. You can be assured that your privacy is very important to us, and all data passed on will be anonymised.
