About us

We are a rapidly growing group of people from throughout Hucknall and attached areas that are passionate about preserving the flora and fauna in our local area.

We work with other local groups as well as Ashfield District Council and Nottinghamshire County Council to preserve, maintain and enhance our local green spaces.

We are a not-for-profit, apolitical group. All monies raised through donations help us to raise awareness and promote the causes of our group as well as protection of our local flora and fauna.

.

Better together

By working together with other local groups as well as local councils, we have the opportunity to enhance and rehabilitate local areas so that they are better for wildlife.

It Doesn’t Take Much

All of our members are volunteers.

You do not have to be an expert in anything, just have an interest in flora and fauna.

Help us by logging your sightings  on our website, or why not join us at one of our monthly meetings at Keycraft Garden Centre in Hucknall.

We are a laid back friendly bunch, so what do you have to lose ?

Our Work

January 2023 saw members of our group along with around 50 volunteers plant over 100 trees on the Washdyke Lane recreation area. A big thank you to all who helped and donated to this event.

Later in 2023 we also planted thousands of wildflowers in the same area. These were grown from seeds by individuals, community groups and local school children.

We are also working with Nottinghamshire County Council to maintain The Ranges in Hucknall.

Have we got similar events planned for 2024 ? To find out what we will be up to in the coming months, take a look at our events page.
